Is there anyone still making laptops without touchpads.

I want a new machine and really dont like touchpads - my current
compaq has a little stick thing betwen the g/h/b key and I find that
far more comfortable then any touchpad Ive seen as my wrists are
fully supported on the case as I use the mouse.

I can sit for ages using my laptop without using anything but mouse
for 95% of the time so the mouse control is very important to me.

Wandered around PC world, Comet, Curries etc to see what teh choices
were over the weekend and not a single one had anything other than
Tocuhpads.

I had a quick look up TCR when I was in London a few weeks back and
whilst it was a very quick look the only ones I saw that had the
nipple type pointer were IBMs.

Is IBM my only choice? Whilst I acknowledgde IBM are good machine -
Ive always found them heavy and bulky.

Any suggestions welcome - and getting an external mouse isnt an
option as I use my laptop on my lap most of the time.

Cheers

CHRIS
