This is a machine dating from 2005. You might try asking in
uk.adverts.computer if someone is breaking one for spares.

But that will cost. New laptops are just getting cheaper - see Tesco etc...
OTOH It is a DIY job, just need patience, concentration, care not to
damage fragile plastics and film wire connectors, sense not to
unnecessarily handle static sensitive electronics, and plenty of small
containers (I use strip seal bags) to place screws with meticulous notes
where they go and how tight they were tightened. A service manual will
help, lots of them are on the web for free download if you look in the
right places.
Alternatively a chap by the name of Paul Durkin well known in
uk.adverts.computer might be able to help?
