Could somebody advise a laptop newbie how to copy a CD with a CD/DVD
Combo drive? I have Easy CD Creator installed. When I copy the data
from one CD they appear on the CD writing drive with an overlay arrow
on each folder and it says the files are ready to be written. What do
I have to do next to get them written to new blank CD? Excuse my
ignorance but we were all new at this at one time! I have Toshiba A10.

Also, is it true that its not good to copy too many CDs like this on
a laptop, that it wears out the components? TIA Denise.

You get a program like CloneCD and it makes an image file on the hd and then
it burns the CD.
You need enough empty space on your hd.

You need to write a CD image to the hard drive on the laptop, then
when this is complete you put in your blank CD and burn the image to
that. Check in the help for iso image or similar to see if the
program will allow you to do it, Im pretty sure it can.

Easy CD has a copy program. If you use this it is childs play. Why dont
you read the help files? these explain it all in great detail.

Thanks for advice, I finally managed to copy a CD correctly using the
Creator Classic facility of Easy Cd Creator which involved copying
the data to my hard drive and then using this facility to burn data to
blank CD. Still think there should be another easier way using
drag-to-disc but havent sussed this out yet. The Easy Cd Creator
didnt give any instructions in its help files re combo drives.
Thanks again for any helpful responses!
Denise
