Is it true that it is not possible to upgrade the sound or graphics card on
a laptop? Does this apply even if there is a spare PCI slot? Its just that
Im intending to buy a laptop and I was hoping to be able do a fair amount
of music recording on it, and I havent seen any reasonably prices ones that
boast decent sound cards.

u can update the sound but graphixs is a no no
heres how to update the sound

external sound cards are available. creative extigy is the only 1 i know of
off by hand.

as for upgrading graphics chips the odd dell might but usually you are
stuck.
