You see it didnt beep everytime I powered on the machine it was just
getting more frequent, for the first day or two the memory was in there I
didnt have a problem. The memory slots arent located underneath the
touchpad, they dont seem to be anywhere near it, the touchpad is on the
bottom middle of the top side of the laptop and the memory slots seem to be
located under the middle keyboard area it didnt appear as though the memory
was stressing anything.
Also the 2GB stick was in slot1 and the 1GB stick in slot2, when I removed
the 2GB stick I put the 1GB stick in slot1, slot1 is underneath slot2 and is
closest to the underneath of the keyboard area. I also noticed that when I
first inserted the memory the blue bar that goes across paused whilst it
detected the extra ram and made the necessary BIOS changes, when the machine
powered on and beeped the blue bar had stopped in the same position.
I will put the memory back in and test it again.
