I want to increase the ram of our aspire 3694 laptop because vista makes it
run so slowly. As a newby I am wondering if this is something I can do
myself. I removed the memory cover and couldnt see an obvious place to put
in additional memory. Can anyone advise me on this? Many thanks.

There should be am multi-pin slot beneath the cover into which you insert
the memory module at an acute angle before snapping it into place. Do you
have the module yet?

Dennis.

Quite often laptops have two memory slots, and as they work best if both
slots are filled, they come with two 512K modules.
making 1GB. To up grade to 2GB you have to buy two 1GB modules.
