I have a HP Pavilion ZD8000 which is fine, the problem is the power
lead/pack is really heavy and large in size. I have started to do more long
haul
flights and its a struggle with both weight and size getting my hand luggage
past the checkin desk jobsworths.

The mains box thing is around 15cm x 6cm x 4cm and the lead could double up
as a car towrope !

I have looked at getting a new laptop but that seems daft as it would only
be used on trips and there is nothing wrong with the one I have.

Can anyone recommend where I can get a smaller replacement power pack from,
I know you can get the Kensington power leads but I need to be sure it will
work with the laptop I have. Also my it says on the box its 180w and after
going
on the Kensington website it says nothing is available for my laptop because
its 180w ? Is there something out there that will do the job or do I need to
be
looking at a new smaller laptop ?

Any advice welcome.
Dave

There are smaller powersupply from HP. I have 65 watt model and that works
great and is small and light.

It takes some more time to charge the battery offcourse, but that is a minor
inconvenience comapred to travveling with a large brick.

Succes
