LAPTOP FORUM

I volunteered to look at a friends WinME VM8000 which refuses to
boot; normal or safe (I do get the WinME flash screen). I tried
booting a diskette and a CD but the BOIS clearly has the hard drive
first. So... What do I press at boot time to get into the BIOS?? I
really have tried 14 different ways but he insists on going to the
hard drive.
Any thoughts will be most welcome! (and, no, friend has no doc and,
yes, I did Google (unsuccessfully) for a solution). Thanks, Tom
