I dont know if this posted, so just in case:
and Mesh didnt send a cable :-(
Hi ric
I know its on the raid controller, Im just going to switch the controller
to ide mode.
I run three hard disks in my desktop the same way.
I DO actually have a connection for another hard disk cable as well as
another teeny removable hard disk caddy :-)
In case you havent seen one of these, its a Mesh Ultima Plus 17
Basically, a big Clevo with a P4 Prescott 3.4gz, 1 gb of ddr ram, 17 tft,
and as well as bays for the dvdrw, subwoofer, card reader, PC card etc, has
a separate bay for two hard disks side by side with vertical cable
connections for both. (though the cable is really two connectors separated
by an inch of film-like ribbon cable).
Apparently two should have been supplied with the laptop, so Mesh are going
to send me one out.
