Hello all. I often use my laptop on my lap and find it can get very
hot and uncomfortable. I read a brief review of a product called the
Laptopdesk in this months .net magazine which claims it solves this
problem. Has anyone used one? Are they any good? The only place
Ive found them is on this website www.lapworks.co.uk

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks,

Klaus

There are much more fun things you can have on your lap...Effects may vary.

However, if you are going to have something on your lap, it may as well
be pretty, such as these ebay items: 4443946161. Their nice beany bag
padding will stop them slipping off when you slouch. They also make a
handy impromptu camera base for those unexpected photos..

Nope I am not connected in the least with anyone whatsoever that makes,
sells, auctions, gives away, designs, etc laptrays...So wouldnt dream
of plugging my web site that sells such things.. ;)

A beanybag tray wont stop the laptop catching fire, but it will protect you
when it does catch fire!

While a pretty beany bag may be a solution for a lady a laptopdesk may well
be more practical for men in protecting their private parts -;)

Looks interesting. I havent seen that one before, but I think Ive seen
this one
<http://www.laptopstands.co.uk/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=Lap desk>
in PC World.

You might also consider using a laptop stand; they come in many forms,
from ugly things looking like microphone stands on wheels to designer
furniture-come-sculpture.

I use a small table (sold as a TV dining table) with a riser to hold
the laptop at a comfortable angle for typing.
