This laptop was set up on behalf of my workplace. I wish to reinstall
WinXP Pro and retain the settings such as Users because at least one of
the users is an Administrator account that I happen to have the password
to. I do not have the original CD for XP as it was not provided to me.
Instead, can I use my own desktop version of XP Pro and the Key code on
the base of the laptop?


Now the laptop has decided to blue screen me. Am I really stuffed?

If you dont have the CD, how do you propose to install?
