LAPTOP FORUM

I am looking for a notebook/laptop pc. There is so much choice that
its difficult to find one that suits, especially as there isnt a big
store somewere that you can go to to see and try them!. Your buying
blind in some ways,from data on websites.

Anyway,i dont want to spend more than Ł700 .

Toshiba and HP seem to have good vfm deals going on,

how about this one?

HP Pavilion ze2355EA which can be had at john lweis with two year
warranty @ Ł699

any other recommendations?

Are Tosh and HP good build quality/reliability for a home environment?

Ideally i need HD >40gig
512mb ram
firewire port
hopefully a dvd rw or combo drive

either IBM is a notable exception and manufacters its own computers (lenovo
now), or IBM buys its computers from an ODM?

I take it though, that the website this is taken from is a reseller
interesting in selling these OMD machines?
