as for title - is it possible (assuming same size/resolution)?
my vaio nv209 15 screen has big black spots all over it and so need
some magic treatment...

Nope. as the TFT will have the driver board with it.. and on the laptop
the drive processor is on the motherboard. so unless you mean just swapping
the LCD pannel. but you will need to find the exact pannel type.
You could maybe find what TFT pannel is in the laptop, then e-myther the
manufacturer of the pannel, and ask if the same pannel is used in any other
monitor or laptop.
