A few months ago I requested help in here for a flickery laptop screen
(samsung vm8000).
Now the flicker is pretty much all the time.
I remember in the thread somebody asked whether it was a totally black
screen or whether I could vaguey see windows through the blackness. Well I
can now. Couldnt at first but the last few days it has been like that.
IIRC the helpful person gave a reason why it would go like that but I cannot
find the thread, so I am wondering if someone can once again explain please?
Its getting to a point now it could flicker and go black for up to 10-15
seconds at a time.
I am concerned this is going to be an expensive fix.

It could be the inverter, which changes the DC voltage to AC and powers the
screen. A small part uusually positioned at the bottom/top edge of the
screen, behind the bezel. Moderately easy to replace if you are handy in
electronics.

Thanks. What would I need to fix this? Any idea on the cost?
