Cracking deal on the Sony VAIO S4XP at present, was at a stunning price of
Ł1569.99 inc vat but now only Ł1499.99 inc vat!!

Whats the pixel check entail, i.e. how many dead pixels are deemed
acceptable?

Zero. If the model is found to have dead pixels we do not ship it out.
