Hi Anybody help I am trying to download the following file:

V7.97-031212a-012987C logo.zip

Which I believe si the latest ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 video driver for my
Latitude D600.

I am having some problems and in display properties reports:

This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all
its drivers installed. (Code 24)

Any help/guide/pointers would appreciated

You asked that very question in this NG 3 days earlier and were given the
answer within less than two hours.

Why are you reposting you a bit dim or something.

Well E do not like your tone and while I did post on the 7th I havent had
a reply!!!!!!
According to my newsgroup update and syncronising the post shows no replies.
Therefore I reposted in case the title didnt really give too much of the
posts detail.

I am not dim and some people think they have the right to say what they
want, well keep your comments to your self please.
Or make sure you have all the facts, first.

Thats the only trouble with newsgroup, there are a lot of rude people and
ones that feel they have to (and the right to) pass comment. But to what
purpose and reason I have no idea, may be becuase it is so remote.

The reply was definatly posted and i can see it and obviously others can as
well perhaps you need to check your NG reader anyway just in case heres my
answer post cut and pasted in :
I dont know where you got tthat file from but its certainly NOT a dell
issued driver and its more likely a jpeg image of the spash screen logo
The file you need is R98704.EXE which can be found on this link to the
Dell site

Im sure you and E Niac are correct when you say the answer was posted to
the OPs previous message. But its not visible on either of the news
servers I regularly use and its not on Google Groups either. So it
clearly hasnt propagated well and therefore the original poster
quite likely didnt see it.

To the OP: rather than just posting an identical message 3 days
later it would have been better if you had said that you had
had no response to your earlier message when you reposted.

Many thanks for the reply. I did get the file you have pointed to below.
For reference the link to where I was looking is:

http://drivers.soft32.com/driver/download-ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 9200 9600
9700-24066.html

And on re-visit you are right it looks like a circulating link.

The Dell one R98704 I ahve installed but I still have my problem with a
piece of software that tracks satalites on a 3D Glode. It is this 3D globe
that does appear in the window just a blank white square. Yet all my other
progarmmes work. I will just not use it as I have others, it was a case of
why is it not working hence my quest started.

Hi, yes would have been better to say I had no responses first. Point
taken, thank you.
Thats the only thing with news group people make comment for the sake of it
as it serves no purpose in my opinion.
Unless it is to correct mis-behavour or there are ways of saying things as
per comment below.
As you appear to not be able to see.
But enough we move on life is too short.
