Hi,

Does anyboady have any personal experience with this model (or any of
the LifeBook series)???

I am considering my first laptop purchase and want something to

-replace my desktop
-be VERY portable
-be self contained (ie DVD burner)
-be able to take being used literally day and night (ie if Im going
to spend Ł1300 on a device, its going to have to earn its keep)

I plan on taking it to work and using it for personal notes,
presentations / DVDs, music, games at lunch time

Films, internet access, download storage for camcorder while on
holiday

Connected to stereo for my music, when at home (got about 5000 MP3s)

Portable DVD player (it has S-Video out)

General PC use each night (internet access, word, excel, etc)

Syncing a PDA to



But as I said it needs to be VERY portable- or I just wont bother
carrying it about.

From the research Ive done, the P7010 looks about the best bet.

Any comments, advice much appreciated.

If you want fast video performance with a proper graphics card with separate
memory you tend get into the 3GHz Pentium, >3Kgm weight area which are
similar in size to a small desktop, weigh as much, and cost twice as much.
Need two hands to carry any distance. So if you want to lug it about all
day get something < 1.5 Kgm. but the screeen size will only be 13 or so.
