Ive just bought a new touchpad to install onto my Armada M700, but I cant get
the thing to work. I downloaded the driver from the Compaq site but for some
reason it isnt picking uo the touchpad when I boot the laptop.
Can anyone please help with any suggestions.

Try reseating it and make sure its connected properly

Are you sure the touchpad hasnt been disabled in the BIOS?

People frequently do this when they prefer using the Trackpoint vs. the
Touchpad.
