Im new to this group & im not sure if this is the right group for CMS
questions. But wherever you end up asking the questions, it helps to know
what server platform youre on/using first, be it Windows, Unix/Linux/Apache
etc. so people can answer your questions accordingly.
id suggest looking at something like PhpMyAdmin or PhpPgAdmin. if youre
comfortable with a little programming/writing your own codes. An
understanding of how databases work & the schema of how the frontend +
backend works together would also be an advantage. Its safe to say SQL is
the common factor here so a basic understanding would be req. Try these
http://phppgadmin.sourceforge.net/ or
http://www.phpmyadmin.net/
DC.
