Hi

I would like to use a wireless link to connect my laptop and desktop to
share the internet connection, can anyone recommend any particular make.

I need one PCI and one PCMCIA card, are D-link any good, they seam
reasonably priced.

Pretty much depends on what you have for a WAP. If it is also Dlink then the
performance should be excellent. In other words this wireless stuff works
really well when made by the same mfg. The standard specs should apply
otherwise.

I have a Linksys wired and wireless BEFW11S4-UK (quick find on ebuyer.co.uk
51436) router. I have a
d-link airplus in my lappy and they work absolutely fine.

In our house we use a Belkin Wireless 54g Router. It was really simple
to set up and currently connects 2 wireless laptops, and 3 wired pcs to
our broadband internet connection, as well as networking all the
machines together for file & printer sharing.
